MBAA Objectives:
The Association is dedicated to the promotion and advocacy of the importance of business air travel to the state’s economy and the importance of sufficient funding to preserve, develop and assure safety at Michigan airports.

The Association recognizes the need to improve the understanding and importance of aviation by state and local officials. The Association will strive to improve this understanding and the relationship between government and aviation users.

Our Relationship With NBAA:
Our relationship with NBAA (National Business Aviation Association) is synergistic – that is, we compliment each other. We are both earnestly involved with similar aviation issues. The primary difference however, is that while NBAA is structured to address business aviation issues on a national level MBAA is focused on Michigan issues at a grassroots level. We believe both associations perform a vital service to the business aircraft community.

NBAA can be considered to be a “macro” version of MBAA. Because of its national scope, NBAA is able to hold only one national meeting a year. Consequently, local concerns and issues are not addressed. The national association recognized this aspect and subsequently has been a strong influence in organizing local associations, such as the MBAA.

We make a determined effort to maintain a direct line of communication with NBAA. In fact, we are fortunate to have Mr. Bob Quinn, the Central Regional NBAA Representative on the MBAA Board. He is our primary liaison to the national organization. NBAA is a terrific association and we at MBAA recommend that you consider membership in both organizations concurrently.
